shinichiizumi
(gonna post a random piece I worked on a while back) .. The dazzling shades of scarlet and apricot filled the evening skies. As the sun's rays descended, reducing illumination, dusk has finally set upon the secluded street. I had stopped moving to observe the transition of my environment. The tranquility of the moment had suddenly been shattered by a noise which echoed around me. "What the heck was that?" I whispered to myself as this sudden shift from serenity to eeriness had startled me. I proceeded to walk further ahead, taking in careful calculations upon each step. As I advanced toward the noise I can drawn the conclusion it's location was deprived from a dim sinister looking alley way just to my left. I progressed further, a tightness in my chest had caused me to gulp in an attempt to alleviate the stress and anxiousness. I reached into my pocket, pulling out my cellular device, pressing upon the unlock button and proceeding to glide my thumb across the bright LED crystallized screen, unlocking it by doing so. I faced the camera of the cellular device toward the alley as I forged ahead, with a simple tap of my thumb on what appeared to have been an icon displayed on the screen representing a flashlight of sorts, the LED light beside the device's camera had suddenly begun to emit a glistening illumination. I had instantly regretted this decision as what had been revealed to me was just about the single most horrifying thing I have ever gazed upon. My body began to tremble resembling the motions caused by an earthquake. My jaw dropping as well as my eyes widened. I believed this was the end. Before me was none other than a stick-like silhouette with an ominous purple aura whipping and lashing from it's surface. As my eyes began to process the situation more accurately, it was too late, for the silhouette belonged to a churro. The churro lunged at me, it's grains of sugar now propelled from it's sudden shift of movement toward my being. The fried pastry now reached maximum velocity before attempting to impact upon my face. In the heat of the situation I had only managed to tilt my head to the side, the churro just missing a direct hit and instead redirected to only slash my cheek before landing behind me. The alley's melancholy air now rippled with the sounds of my agony as I groaned in immense pain from the wound. I instantly reached for my cheek, my cellular device falling to the ground below as my grip upon the device ceased. Shattering as it would impact the earth, I now looked over my shoulder. My expression now blank. My eyes had lost the "life" to them as I had been reduced to a very depressive state. "Why.... Why won't you just leave me alone..." I pleaded toward the pastry awaiting an answer. "Because, Son..." The pastry replied before turning to it's side, facing the now rising moon. "You have grown soft..." It concluded before once again propelling itself although this time it's target was the moon itself. I looked up at the astronomical body in awe, the sprinkles of sugar that had slowly began to coat the sky was a sight to behold. The pastry now reduced back to a silhouette which has slowly escaped my peripheral vision before disappearing from my sight completely. I wept for three hours before finally picking up the remains of my cellular device and continuing my journey.
