Ah I used to do the same, but since I got an electrical sewing machine for my birthday it became a lot easier to create things from scratch, though I still fail at sewing pants, so I just buy and alter them. ooooh, Black Butler <3 and Rurouni Kenshin!!! (Have you seen the live action?) and also ao ex ;//v//; You liking some good stuff there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Aww thank you so much! Do you make your costumes, or do you order them? *^* Well, at least you'll be able to be yourself after a while then :D Hmm, lots of anime I'm onto now, but my fav is JR, Hagaren, Mawaru Penguindrum, Noragami, SnK, Haikyuu, Free!....too many ;v; How about you?

Oh I love steampunk! That is awesome. My Cosplay was steampunk too, but the character Sabo was always steampunk, so I doing him more steampunk does him justice.

That is really cool! I haven't gotten into the serious construction aspect or into armor or anything. I have a feeling that if I just learned to use crafting foam I'd probably be really good at making armor though. :P My strong skills are probably painting and pattern making. When it comes to sewing, my machine... I got lucky finding a machine like mine for the price I did, it's computerized and... it does most of the work for me, I just have to guide it into the feed dogs and make sure it goes along the fabric. I found myself studying up on historical clothing for my most recent cosplay. Making the jabot I had on. It was fun. I love researching and studying up on how to make different things.

^_^ thank you! I don't know if I am ready to do any competitive cosplay yet. Maybe after my next big project I can decide if I will be able to compete. I can sew and I think I'm intermediate level, but I've never really pushed my design, pattern-making, and creative skills to any sort of limit yet, plus I don't feel that motivated. I've only gone onstage once to an anime-related party in a club and I won, but it wasn't a big deal. It sounds exciting, and I hope it goes well. You seem pretty skilled. :)

Yeah. I am one of those people that once I've done a cosplay I keep trying to improve it before I move onto anything new! lol It is a good feeling. At busy cons though it's a bit draining, you get stuck posing for a while. But, it's great. :)
