Its just one of the curses of getting older. It sounds like a pretty good Christmas to me.
If your town/city has fireworks shows for new years I'd recommend checking them out.

Christmas was great, how was yours?
I don't really have plans for New Years other than to stay with family as long as they want to be here and catch up on sleep. I might go out and get fireworks this year. :3
