Yes! Kyoto Animation did a lot of justice! One of the new movie named Silent Voice is airing soon, and you should totally check it out if you are into romance / comedy. Or if you like action stuff, I just recently finished Kabaneri ;^) Really great!

Yup I heard people from Osaka talks kousoku, too. I just have never seen them talking that way though... maybe just because I haven't made so many visit I just didn't encounter such situation. So this is how dedede sounds in English. it sounds really different from the impression I get from the Japanese voice.

Ah, then sometimes I might ask you to be my Sensei :D Accents, yes, actually even more, we have varieties of dialects in Japan. Some like in Osaka we can understand but there are many dialects that even the words are so different even we Japanese cannot figure out... XD
