Hi. Week has been going well. Got done with a project at work. Did some cleaning at home and got my diswasher fixed finally after 4-5 weeks of it not working. So yeah ^^. How about you. Things going fine? About the food. Hmm. Personally I eat what ever happens to pop in to my mind out of my recipe list. Be it macaroni casserole, lasagna, fried fish, chicken sauce, pea soup etc etc. Not really familiar what might be that unique to us in the end, as a stable food. I tried to find some good list that has some usual foods that I have eaten and this site has a decent list of those: https://www.prettywildworld.com/traditional-finnish-food/ Have not tried Cheese bread out of those and don't really like Stuffed cabbage or Marinated Herring but the others are good. So maybe try through google search if any of them looks nice? There are also some unique foods though that one can try like blood sausage (specific to a certain region in here) that's really good and filling, mämmi (rye pudding I think, during easter), sautéed reindeer and Karelian pasty/pie as a snack/side food.

Yup. That video is quite accurate on how things are here. The tattoo and piercing thing is ok too but in moderation of course if you don't want to have trouble with finding a job etc. As we finns are the distant types, coming here as a foreigner might cause some unsureness like you said. This is understandable. We have some preconceptions towards people coming from Russia/middle-east areas due to the history, refugee source (culture principles way different towards others) and/or global uncertainness aspects. But even then we warm to these people when we get to know them if theres no negative clash. Towards other foreigners we generally have either neutral or positive views which is the same as towards other finns. University and a lot of companies people are quite welcoming with foreigners. Not knowing finnish though can limit certain possibilities/interractions as not all are good with english. Overall theres no need to worry if your ok that it just takes some time to get to know us. Having a mutual hobby/interest always helps at the start. :) And totally to the Made in Abyss thing. They are actually making a second season of it so we will get more Nanachi too. Oh and I highly recommend Planetes if you happen to like space/scifi themes. It a more realistic/close to our time type of show.
