I am a grad student American otaku who is just crazy over anything to do with the Orient. The midwest really only has certain number of personality types it seems, and all of them seem to be very regional and almost sycophantic in their thinking. I am hoping to meet some true individuals on here that share a huge common interest with me, that being Japanese pop culture. Old J-pop from the 70s-90s is one thing that gets me excited (don't get me wrong, I like the new stuff too) Hiro Takahashi is one of my old school faves.
