Oh wow, that's quite interesting. Most people don't pick bats b/c they're usually associated w/ rabies and vampires and germs. I think they're pretty cool, but I'm more interested in the fruit bats b/c they're so big and they only eat fruit, which is kind of unique. Also I"m quite surprised you have heard of that series. That's definitely the one about the shapeshifters. I also read it a long time ago, and the concept has always been pretty interesting to me. I especially liked how they threw in the magic and sorcery stuff.
