I've made a commercial with a friend in high school. It was fun, but not what I'm going for. I'm not in it for the money, i'm in it for the art ^^ Commercial directors make money depending on who contracts them to make a commercial for them. I'd love to do some music videos some day though :D I transferred from a JC and am on my second quarter at University~

Good deal; I wish you the best of luck ^^ I don't have soundproof room, if I need to record any voice work I just do it when no one's around :P In regards to your cousin, there are a lot of different ways to soundproof a room, I'd suggest looking on YouTube for some helpful advice on that front ^^

Yeah I would travel if my family didn`t tie me down to themselves. I just want to get away, maybe go have some fun in another part of the world, far away from everyone I know. Just for a bit, to unwind and not worry about responsibilities like I`ve done for a majority of my life so far.

Yep, you're right on that one. Death, as well as fear of social judgement are probs the biggest fears of humans on average.
Hmm, that is an interesting question, but one that has no definite answer I think xd
Still, living your whole life in fear of what inevitably comes at the end is kinda... meh in my opinion xD

That's true, being a good editor can open many opportunities for you~ Yeah, you can't do advanced or even semi-novice techniques in Movie Maker XD If you're looking for recommendations, a good place to start is with Adobe. Their video editing software is easy to use (imo), much more advanced than MM, and can significantly enhance any video you're working on. A lot Youtubers and even some independent filmmakers use Adobe because of the professional quality videos it has the potential to create. There is even more professional software out there, but they're harder to master, and cost a lot more, so I wouldn't recommend those if you're just starting out or are working on a project that doesn't have a high budget/doesn't require an insane amount of post-production work ^^ These are just my suggestions though, there is a lot of other video editing software, but I never messed with them. Ask an experienced editor if you have any further inquiries about editing :P But take this advice: Don't just Google what the best software to use is. Some of those articles are written by people who've never made a movie before XD

Exactly: cheap to make and easy to sell :P I don't know much about the porn industry, so I can't answer that XD but perhaps you're right about that. A film is a collaborative effort. Take a movie like 2001: A Space Odyssey. If you take that script, and give it to an incompetent director, or cast the wrong actors, etc. the movie wouldn't have met the same success as it has. Yeah editors have it rough, very rough sometimes. How rough they have it actually starts with pre production, because that's when you plan out your entire film schedule: When you begin to shoot, when you end, when you head into post, etc. And if you don't meet deadlines that are set in pre production, you start losing funding for your project. Editors are in a sense the unsung heroes of filmmaking because they don't get as much recognition for their work as say directors, actors, producers, screenwriters, but the movie can't finish without them. But keep in mind that a successful editor's work is not seen because the purpose of editing is to make a film seamless. Therefore, if an edit goes by without notice, the editor did a good job ^^
