wolf children did a good job with sticking to the story that was in the manga, and the director of it also did summer wars and boy and the beast which where both awesome movies. kamisama kiss was also done pretty good anime wise i just started reading the manga so can't tell you which is better right now some of the storylines for the 80s anime are a bit weird but after a while it grows on you lol, one I started watching but never finished was his and her circumstances honestly it's in between at the moment

my friend let me borrow hers, I was tempted to get my own but I was disappointed in the direction the story took especially in the second season, have you seen wolf children, kamisama kiss, or high school rumble? also do you watch any old school anime like made in the mid 80s early 90s

You're obviously worried about some people you're around having a problem with it. You don't seem racist..but you seem worried about others. I would not deal with those people anymore to be honest. Like if someone came in my room and gave me shit about my Danny Trejo Machete poster..I'd tell em to kick rocks.
