Think of how chickens reproduce, only with actual "equipment". The eggs are laid in warm, dark places close to water, usually, like a dirty-clothes hamper or a bathroom drawer, and they look a little bit like very tiny burned mandu. If you want to see that your house doesn't get infested (a very good idea, as the odor given off by roach colonies can cause brain damage and even kill small animals like rats and mice) my advice would be to plant your roach traps and use insect spray in places like that.

The only bug capable of actually flipping itself over after it's landed on its back is the click beetle. A lot of cockroaches are rather large, so while they can sometimes roll over or use their wings to get back on their feet, a lot of times lying on their back is a sign that they're dying.

Yes, they can. They're basically water beetles by nature, so swimming isn't anything new to most of them, especially the ones in the US. In fact, during the summer they're everywhere because they're *looking* for water.

-.- Dude, it's not a fetish. I study psychology; I would know.
The roaches I've met have learned very quickly what they can and can't get away with. The rest of it's ordinary natural selection. If they're stupid enough to come out during the daytime, they deserve to die. Let the roaches with working brain cells increase the population.

its ok to have weird fetish, I mean I don't have any, but I don't judge at all
Hmmm yeah they have a tenacity to live, but I wonder if they should be smart enough to stray from human contact, it usually end with someone dead.
I have a lil respect for the cockroachs tho
