So for dark eater midir I beat him and he dropped the covenant item but not his souls so now I can't make the weapon I wanted what's up with that? It said it dropped it but it's no where in my inventory.

I've personally been down to the bottom of the rabbit whole and back. I've since scaled everything back to the corperate level, when I realized just how much of it is a smoke screen. With so much cow dung, all you can do is pay attention to the provable ones which can be tracked through the flow of money. Anything that's purely anecdotal just isn't worth believing.
