@Muffin Oh I get that 100%. But the thing about that is it shouldn't be that way. Romantic feelings end and just because you stop dating someone should never mean the end of the relationship(Depending on how it ended that is). For me us being best friends is simply that outcome of us having been friends prior. We talk and play videogames together. But she lives an hour away so we don't see each other that much. And if the roles where swapped and a girl I was dating was best friends with her ex, yeah, I'd be cool. I'd want to meet him. Hang out with him. Become friends with him. Insert myself not just into her life but his as well. Yes there's a chance there might still be something. But there is a chance there is feeling between them without them being friends or speaking. This is directed at everyone. Every relationship you have be it current or past is going to be with you even if that person is no longer in your life. So therefor the same is true for every person you date. Being insecure and trying to set rules and force another person to not be friends with someone or be afraid of possibilities that are chanced even without that factor is silly. Dating and relationships are a simple, yet hard to master things. I've even been put to the test in a long distance relationship where a girl at a con that was staying with me and my friends made an advance on me, and I had to sit her down and tell her that even though my girlfriend didn't live in stat at the time, she meant everything to me.(Actually, the girl out of state at the time was the same girl this thread is about XD) So in the end I'm taking my boy Growthers advice. I'll just keep looking till I find someone who feels the same way I do. Even though this thread probably shot my chances of finding anyone on this site, I'm cool with that. I think this thread has done me a lot of good for my mental state.
