Nah it's not your fault unless you cheated. My ex tried to put the blame on me but honestly now that I think about it, it's not my fault. I still don't feel confident around women anymore but as all break ups happen one becomes stronger. So hopefully you learn from your past relationships and improve upon them.

Part of the internet is that you're allowed to be whoever you want to be. So long as you don't intend to lead people on/have no intention of meeting someone in person/let them know your picture is fake if they express an interest in you then I see no harm. Some people probably aren't comfortable being themselves online and come on to escape their day to day lives, as I said, if you're not planning on meeting anyone in person then there's no harm in it.
