Is anyone going to immortal con? I recently went to liberty city anime con (I was wearing a short sleeve vegeta t shirt) and had one of the best times in my life. I realize this con is in Long Island and won't be as lit as LCAC, but I'm expecting a good turn out. Please give feedback, is it worth going to? Pics on website look good, is it gonna be a huge let down?

I doubt there are any people on here from Miyagi-ken, specifically Sendai or the surrounding area, but I thought I'd post here and see. I'm in Japan for the 4th time, and I'm moving up to Sendai soon for a year.

Kind of complicated. I would naturally prefer someone who can hold their own and i can view as my equal. Were each other's foundation. I guess even i can be a little passive sometimes when it comes to stuff like taxes etc. mainly because i'm just beginning to learn the ropes of adult hood, so like illuminous said it can be motivating to take control and man up so i can ensure the well being of my partner. But doing everything can be very stressful on one person. I don't wanna feel like a parent-child relationship, i wanna be equals. I really admire a chic who can handle herself. This may be a weird analogy but hypothetically if i were to have a family, i wanna know that my partner is emotionally strong and can handle herself and the kids if i can't be there at the given moment. If you're too passive like that then people will treat you like a doormat.

Honestly... Dragon ball Z comes to mind... The protagonist constantly has to improve and evolve his fighting to beat stronger and stronger opponents and there transformations. But come on, how many anime follow that plot direction. I do have to agree with Monch, on the whole marriage thing. Maybe it was added for comical affect? Makes me feel bad for the poor childhood friend. Come to think of it childhood friends don't have great romantic luck in anime. They're always there as romantic rivals, but they sure lose out a lot. But all that said, i'm still watching it as well, waiting to see where the plot goes next.
