Yeah I wouldn't tell someone not to try becasue there's a chance that someone will click with them but if you don't find someone here take a break and set it on the back burner. I would like to see some more women out there to get some equality balls and start to talk and ask out more guys. I've always asked girls that I like out and make the first move but I'm sure there are some women that like me but never asked so I not being a mind reader don't know and just pass them. I would also like to think that just becasue a girl send you a friend request don't mean they like you like that but more of ah hey they seem cool I'll talk to them. < nice first step and a possibility but not a clear indicator. As a guy that has spend a good time of his life looking and doing everything even nothing to find a girl but end up with rejections and failure it's not fun. I've also never to my knowledge been asked out or approached by a girl and they every strait up say hey I like you. Now I don't expect or demand anything from women becasue I would not want them to do the same to me.

I don't see why you apologized to her. You had nothing to apologize for, and that just made you far less attractive in her eyes. I'd say don't message her ever again, but if she messages you back begging for things to go back to the way they were, roll with it.
