Before I get started, for those who may not know, Nostalrius is a private vanilla World of Warcraft server that blew up and had hundreds of thousands of accounts and an insanely high active player count. It was completely non profit and they did it for the love of the game, for those who wanted to revisit or try the original World of Warcraft. Earlier this year they received a cease and desist letter from Blizzard and decided to shut down, disappointing many. Eventually a huge campaign started trying to convince Blizzard legacy servers could be a good thing, and it got so big that even former team leader Mark Kern jumped on board. Mark Kern had a meeting with blizzard after change.org received well over 200,000 signatures. Shortly after that the Nostalrius team themselves had a meeting with Blizzard and while details couldn't be discussed the team made it out like it was a pretty positive experience. Now let's fast forward to now. There wasn't much word of anything for months and Nostalrius claims that for the past 4 months blizzard has left them in the dark, even though they now possess everything they needed to overcome obstacles they addressed and that the Nostalrius team mentioned they would assist Blizzard themselves. Nostalrius made a statement that basically stated that if Blizzard doesn't honor their own core values, the Nostalrius team will. After Blizzard both announced that they would not, and in fact did not mention anything about legacy servers at Blizzcon, Nostalrius decided it was time to return. They have given another team by the name Elysium their source code and databases, and plan to make the source code for their server public. They are working together to bring back both their old PVP and PVE realm along with everyone's characters as they were before shutdown, as well as launch a fresh PVP realm for those who want a fresh vanilla experience. Last Sunday they held a stress test and it went very well. They are holding another stress test next Sunday with new hardware, and if you're interested I would urge you to participate to help the launch of the servers to go smoothly. You can register here: https://elysium-project.org/ I know there are those who feel private servers aren't right, and believe me I have always felt the same way, but fact is unless Blizzard finally decides to do it themselves there's no way to enjoy the old game many bought and enjoyed in the past. The only way is to emulate it on private servers. Unlike something like say an old Zelda game, you can't just pop your old game in and play it for WoW, the old game is just gone. It's like if Nintendo were to say even though you've bought their games in the past you can no longer play them, you have to play the new games. What are you're thoughts on this? Personally I'm excited. I've been playing on other vanilla servers and really enjoying the nostalgic experience. I will be rolling an Orc Hunter on the new PVP realm. Who knows, maybe this will be the final push to decide if Blizzard will ever make their own? Personally I doubt it because I think they are just too money hungry nowadays, partially thanks to Activision.

I think you're kind of misunderstanding what i'm saying. I didn't say that school should be eliminated, infact, it would be great if it were more supportive towards the arts rather than shutting people down. But i agree, if you're gonna do something, you have to accept the risks and make sure you can dominate in it to make it worth while otherwise you're better off just taking a safe bet. Yes that was the point that i made in my first response, not sure as you said you didn't read the entire thing, i enjoy what i'm doing, but not passionate about it where i wanna do it for my whole life, i have other interests. I'm almost done, so i'm gonna stick with it but once i'm done i'm pursuing my passions and just using this as a back up. As for positiveness, i'm not sure about Singapore but university life in North America is pretty demanding and is not what you see in movies or commercials. There is a huge gap between highschool life and university and the transition can be very difficult for some. The work load, standards, and expectations can be ridiculous sometimes. But maybe you and i have different appreciations for university. For me its something more like i have to do, rather than i want if that makes sense. But anyhow, best of luck to you with your architecture, and for the record i've never enjoyed math either.

Idk if you feel lonely. Might as well include I am in fact a gamer and otaku person myself. I don't function properly. My mood swings are dynamic. I feel completely empty nowdays. I want human interactions especially with females but considering my position and all other shits, i'm not ready at all. My emotions are unstable. I feel nothing matters much so.. how should I say this. I need someone to lighten up my days, support me mentally or physically. As a gamer and otaku, my life is slowly drifting away from other humans. To be completely isolated is my biggest fear. Right now I have no values whatsoever. To be acknowledged by someone is a huge step for a better stable daily life which I am missing. So idk if you dont feel this way yet, there's a chance you might. Lived isolated for a time and I realize being alone is dangerous and unhealthy for me physically and mentally.

Soo, I recently watched Kimi no na wa. For those of you who haven't seen it yet: Go watch it NOW, it's just awesome. The story however left me thinking about how absolutely scary the thought of forgetting about your past and the people you love really is. I mean taki and mitsuha basically lived for 5/8 years without knowing anything about what happened and they probably won't ever remember. All of us could be in the same situation and we wouldn't know it, scary right? xD Any thoughts about this topic?
