I got into it last year and it quickly became my favorite anime franchise. I hopped in on around the end of part 2 so I was going back and watching Parts 1 and 2 while waiting for Part 3 to come out. Well at first. I don't want to spoil anything but a certain threat arises in the main protagonist Josuke Higashikata's own hometown. https://66.media.tumblr.com/3069676b0b635e3cefb858d795795ce3/tumblr_o4z35sunkR1rv0oreo1_500.gif This was a different approach from all the parts before considering in the past all of the main threats were like "OH NOOOO WE HAVE TO STOP DIO OR ELSE HE WILL DESTROY ALL OF MANKIND" This time the threat took place where our hero lives, sleeps, and eats in. It was a mysterious presence in the beginning so we the viewers and readers didn't know what to think about what the threat actually was.
