Hmm, well, I will first meet him in person on Octover 18th. He has to fly in. I have skyped with him almost everyday though except when either of us are really busy. I can let you know when I meet him in person, though :) Also, you shouldn't automatically be suspicious. You should become suspicious based on how people act. Its quite easy to tell when someone is full of themselves.

I have a weird issue when meeting girls I'm trying to get myself over. If a girl is sufficiently attractive (by societies standards) then I automatically assume she wouldn't be interested in me because (I assume) she could date almost any guy she wants and I don't consider myself particularly attractive. Now my 2nd problem is that I'm getting older but my interests are about the same so I'm only finding younger girls who share most of my interests but would mostly consider me too old to date. (I'm 37)

I have often wondered how many times that an amazing loving, mind blowing relationship was missed out on because of the "looks" standard. Be who you are, and don't worry or fear anything, and I guarantee that the girl you are perfect for will be there, but have the balls to go say hi at least, the worst that will happen is you will know one way or the other if she is the right one.

I think my biggest problem when approaching a girl is I always assume worst case scenario. "oh she probably already has a bf" or "she's probably way to young" since I'm 33 and most otaku girls I run into are in their early 20's at the oldest. XD

I understand how most of you feel. I've always been shy and have really low self esteem. Whenever I find someone I like, I usually get put in the dreaded friend-zone. I have no luck at all in the relationship department.
