Why go from romanticly interested to friends with benifits?

yuusaku_godai
@Uglymod
There are people out there who know it's not a good idea to be romantically involved with particular others. However they know the sex is awesome so they have sex. That notion as been cliched in TV, film, books, and song.
Love can be expressed in countless ways. Love definitely can be expressed through sex. I'm not denying that however I wasn't talking about "making love". I was talking about "making sex".
That's one of those little "no-noes" in a FWB. I would avoid having sex with someone I love without being in a well formed loving relationship because things start to get complicated as you know or can imagine.
I believe with how the Japanese see sex for the most part. In Japanese society sex and love do not go hand-in-hand. They are two separate entities. I know that is very different from a western and Judaical ideal of what sex is and I can easily imagine many people not agreeing with that; that's all okay too.
So XXKanaKannaXX, sorry that it didn't work out for ya. I can tell you this though that I wouldn't think you're a bad person or some kind of immoral person or think of you any less because of this. At least from this experience you learned something new about yourself and maybe even something valuable.
When it comes down to it, if two mature people who are absolutely not interested romantically in one another could have a functional FWB relationship. However it isn't for all. That's my opinion.

@Yuusaku Yeah, and thank you! I am defiantly just human and I defiantly learned a lot from all this! I really should have thought about all that before I got to much involved with him. I really am a emotional wreck, and I tend to have my emotions get the best of me. I defiantly know now that the whole FWB thing is not a good idea for me. I honestly will never ever partake in such a action again...Just no way I can cope with it all.

Recently I was in a FWB relationship recently however I do like whom I'm with and I think they like me too so we dating now. During our FWB time we did like each other is many ways and that wasn't a problem. The problem was if we were to become emotionally invested dating seemed to be the better choice. However things aren't serious now and may not be for a while because we both need to be at a point where we are able to have a more stable relationship to function.

@xxkanakannaxx our emotions tell us who we are embrace them you will only get stronger the right man is out there you just need to believe dont let this cloud your judgement in the future. oh and remember we all need a good cry some more then others :)

Yes I agree! ^_^ both of you have made great statements. @Yuusaku-Yeah some people can make it work..I honestly think it can't work out between me and him now even if we tried. We both are so young, and the fact we skipped a lot would not make the relationship healthy. If we ever did get back together we would have to restart everything. Just no way that can happen now. Who knows what the future holds only time can tell. Right now I agree with Mroneill best thing is to just move on and find another guy. ^_^ Thank you both for youre encouraging words!

^im glad, keep your chin up and before you know it everything will be ok

The relationship probably wasn't working, but the guy wanted to keep the physical action because he likes it. Giving up kissing and hugging and all that stuff was probably something he didn't want to do, but he didn't want to keep a formal relationship either. If you still have feeling for him, I'd say to decline. At least that's my opinion since I've been through this before, but in reverse (FWB -> Relationship). In the end it was really confusing and messed with you. So.. Yeah, best of luck though.
