I looked into it and apparently some guy had been fighting Facebook on this for over 5 years. They need one other claim which I didn't look into because I didn't care enough but apparently Facebook supposedly it violated some privacy data act or something by withholding information but who knows if that's actually true

They count that as violating their terms of service and request a phone number to verify a new account. Almost all of my family has a Facebook as it is
