Profile Prefences

What kinds of profiles catch your eye? Do you like reading paragraphs of someone's life story or do you just want the who, what, when, where and why? And are these preferences reflected in your own profile? Inquiring minds want to know! I personally like it if you can sum up yourself in a few sentences. Less is more and all that. That's how my own profile was until recently. Then it felt like my info was boring so I went and had some fun with it.

Hmmm... well, I just need their profile to spark my interest, whether it be what they typed, the animes/manga they are into, or the pictures they have up lol That or have them talk to me first :) A lot of times I will start chatting with someone if I love their profile picture, though. Some people have some seriously awesome ones :3

I actually like it when the person takes the time to explain a little bit about themselves. I take it as a sign of openness and honesty. I also am more likely to look at the profiles of people who post pictures of themselves and not just their favorite anime characters. (I frankly couldn't care less what a person's avatar is, so long as they show their true appearance in their photo gallery somewhere.) About the whole, "Less is more/half the fun" thing... Keep in mind that what's in the "About" section is merely what they think would be useful for you to know. Humans are not simple creatures, and their minds and histories are never easily summed up in a few paragraphs. Never assume that an "About" section contains *everything* there is to know about a person, even if it's a mile long.

I kind of agree with The Curious Kills. I am looking for honest and kind people. I want to know right away what they care about or if our values are the same. I probably put too much in mine, but I don't want people to waste their time on me if they're not prepared. I want to meet new people who not only have an interest in anime/manga/or games, but are not afraid to talk about themselves.
