Former coworker got it worse when they were fired by a regional manager for having her eyes closed during a meeting. Thing is she was legally blind. Corporate never once apologized for the big oopsie.

As always corporations find ways to cover themselves from any and all consequences. Apparently someone else was supposed to have pre-reviewed the termination beforehand, but that person never did. So it was ruled as a big oopsie with no intention of discrimination. Just a decision made based on blind judgement and miscommunication.
