to me as long as the characters and the story/writing are interesting it doesn't matter.

A gay character can add humor to it. If anything, throws a new mix into things. so its all good by me

Nah. If we can live with homosexuals among us in really life there is no problem with them in anime.

It seems awkwardly out of place. Depending on the style of the music. Symbolism is very important in printed pieces and you should never use it unesscicariliy, itll create conflicting diction

It'd make it more realistic in terms of statistics, but there's no problem with it just help rounds out the group of characters to make one different, and is an interesting approach :D (tho if its never mentioned again it becomes the 'big lipped alligator' moment of the series lol)
