@VashTheStampede- Some conventions assign different wristbands/badges depending on your age group. Like SpringFest: if you're over 18, you get a green band. If you're a teen, you get a red band. That way, you don't run into jailbait. Unfortunately, some of the "grownups" weren't too fond of me. But that's for another forum.
oldie here! lol i can't believe it took me this long to get into cosplay! although i've always dress-up for Halloween and occasions never really though of cosplaying until i went to my first con 2yrs ago. and loving every moment!
Well it's good to see I'm not alone here. I don't get to come around as much as i probably should or would like. Easily distracted with Linguistic studies "Japanese primarily", learning to translate manga etc. Listening to my favorite Vocaloid Megurine Luka chan!. lol. And being all around Otaku. I Attended Anime XPO L.A. 20yr Anniv. with Miku-nopolus L.A. but as pointed out earlier i didn't see too many older fans. being in Cosplay as Laplace from Rozen Maiden i was surprised to be impromptu interviewed by a Japanese camera crew just before closing ceremony. I was hoping to maybe find some kindred otaku but even here we still seem to be out numbered. 仕方が無い eh ? lol.
