I use Netflix for regular movies. Then I started watching Anime. Honestly, I have always watched anime on [adult swim], then I started buying my own. I'll probably start watching online eventually. I guess what I'm saying is, if I'm paying for the service, it is within my own right to watch it. Some of you make it sound like a travesty, as if watching anime on netflix is as primitive as the wheel? Oh well.
Yeah there are all kinds of free websites for anime and Asian dramas and movies. animefreak.tv, drama.net, watchdub.com. Just type watch anime free or watch (whatever anime you are searching for) free
I'm just going to say that Fan Subs are often a far better quality then anything distributed by Viz or Funimation. Also with how buggy Crunchy Roll is and what a baron wasteland Netflix is for anime thank god for sub sites. Netflix and hulu have only a few go-to anime choices it's sad.
Btw besides Crunchyroll, Funimation has their own streaming website (http://www.funimation.com/), and there's also The Anime Network (http://www.theanimenetwork.com/).
You guys from the US might see a lot of Hulu embedded stuff on Funi's streaming site. But going by their membership I think they probably have some series they are streaming that aren't available on Hulu. Also if you aren't in the US it's perfect since if you can't watch the Hulu videos they'll stream the videos directly instead of embedding a service you can't watch.
And both of them are free
