I kissed a girl on the first time that we met (we had been talking on the phone for months) and I'm a really nice guy. Unfortunately, I was the one who got burned by her. I disagree with that disclaimer, but that's just me. :P

Can't really speak for a lot of gay men since I'm straight myself, but I can't really see kissing on the first date as sole justification for believing your significant other would turn into a jackass down the road in a relationship, be it a homo or heterosexual one. I suppose it could be construed as "rushing things" but sometimes some people just click really quickly. Sleeping together would be another matter entirely though. No offense to the OP, but you're only 15 and probably don't have a lot of experience when it comes to serious LTR's.
