I second Ghost Hunt. I mean..I don't find any animes or movies scary, but..I think Ghost Hunt probably gets closest to what you're looking for. :3

to me ghost hunt was not scary at all but it is a really good anime.

I think When They Cry is like one of the best horror anime ever. It combines cute, crazy, and creepy all together.

Another was a really good horror anime, same with Mirai Nikki, Shiki and Elfen Lied.

Of all the anime mentioned here, Ghost Hunt is the only one that was a little bit scare sometimes.

I just finished one called Doubt. found it wile reading Durarara! It has more suspense than actual horror but it reminded me of Saw in a way.

When They Cry (Higurashi) is a good horror based one. I guess Hellsing Ultimate could because of the vampires, gouls, and blood. However, it would probably be more action than horror. Dead Man Wonderland I'm not sure about because I haven't seen all of it yet. It's probably more suspense/action/mystery.
