This is so true. I've never met a girl/woman in real life that's an otaku like myself and it bothers me. I've been watching so many Slice of Life animes that I realized I'm probably never going to find someone that likes what I like.

Nerdy/Geeky things are becoming more acceptable but not as big really, its getting there. Area depends on how geeky/nerdy it is, you have better chances in a city than a farm land area. I am one of the most Geekiest/Nerdiest guy around here but I still manage to find dates with normal people. I try not to think about it as much, be loyal to who you are and say its one of your passions. People like others for a passion they have.

@Siz You misread his comment. He was agreeing with you. He was saying that "Yes, confidence does help, but don't be over confident or you will appear cocky."

True. It's sad because I think otaku's would make better partners than normals.
