Fangirling/Jealously

Honestly, the only time it should matter is if it is hurting the relationship. One of my friends decided he didn't want to date anyone because they didn't compare to Yuki from Vampire Knight, but that's an extreme and isn't how most people crush. If you're in a relationship with someone, and you both love each other then it really shouldn't matter. You're with them and whatever crush they have is imaginary and will never happen. Lets face it most of us human girls don't compare to anime girls in the looks department, but we are flesh and blood and that beats imaginary any day.

I don't see liking anime characters as cheating, thats just childish. Jealousy indicates insecurity and weak attraction: If you love someone enough, you'll trust them to not cheat. But anime isn't real, at all. I like many female anime characters, like Yoko, Liru, Horo, Asuna, Yuno etc. but I'm not about to become married to an anime girl. On the flipside I can tolerate a woman liking a male anime character who they may view as ideal or something, it doesn't explicitly bother, unless they were neglecting me to go and masturbate over the character or something outrageous. As long as it didn't affect the relationship much I could care less.

Exactly!! As long as the girl isn't like obsessed. Example: Directioners. ._. Even if they have a boyfriend, "Omg, I want to date Nial" and they constantly talk about them. >_> I'm not going to constantly talk about or compare Kakashi with whoever I'd be with.

Unless whoever you're with is a ninja. Don't laugh, there are plenty of people that learn the various ninja arts still in existence :P
