who else feels this?

What NolongerActive , says is indeed true. If you want to know who your true friends are (based on convos or whatever) Sometimes it's the best to test them. That way you can figure out if they are using you, or are just your friends. Though the method of it all still comes down to you yourself. I tend to start convos, then i will wait till they start the next one. Depending on how long i've known the person, and how well i know them. If i don't know them, it's a really awkward back and forth that may just be me hitting them hard for the most part with starters, or them to me. Till we are comfortable enough that we don't need to think up a reason to talk to one other. Also judge how strange it feels to talk to these people, if it's weird. Then try to get a better feel, or just ditch them. Going with your gut is indeed a good way to go. If you feel your being used, you probably are. In the end, some people are just really shy. While others are social, you have to keep that in mind too while organizing plans, and tests to see the friendship levels. Regardless, this all depends on yourself.

I'm not really down with the testing your friends philosophy. If your the type of person who feels the need to test people you have a relationship with, then what kind of friend are you ya know?

I tend to be the one that has to search others out for them to talk or hang out with me. Sure, if we happen to be in the same place and they aren't talking to anyone else, they will start up a conversation with me, but if not I have to. I have determined that it is just a one sided friendship as they only talk to me when its convenient or they need someone. There is only one person that I could qualify as a true friend under this criteria, and now I think I've added on another after this past anime convention.
