ok but at the end of the day preferences in a persons own body or what attracts other people to them, especially if they feel the need to change, will dominate their decision. whether it be the decision to be themselves or change who they are or how they look.

some people with an anime character as their avatar do have an actual pic in their picture gallery, myself included. I just picked Kodaka b/c the way his face is portrayed in the Haganai series was very similar to my own IRL growing up. hence one of the reasons why i liked that anime... oh and moe cuteness of the rest of the girls

I also feel that not having at least one picture somewhere in your profile is a no-no. If you have the confidence to make a profile you better believe you should have the confidence to put up a picture. Having only anime pictures does not help you form better spiritual/emotional connections with others. Through internet medium we can only convey these feelings through words, not pictures. They are just a small but important piece of the puzzle. We can stand around flinging the same cliched line "Looks arn't everything , personality is important" but that doesn't tell the whole story. Physical attration is important to humans too. There is 'almost' no man or woman who walks up to the alter, recites those vows, and finds their significant other unattractive/repulsive with a great personality. Everyone has difference tastes, everyone experiences 'love at first sight' differently. The true chemistry comes when you mix the two together. Thats a love potion we're all looking for. :) P.S. Also according to the golden rule there's no women on the interwebs so "ladies" I'm going to need to see some photo ID and a cpoy of your birth certificate. :D :D :D

I think some people are just very timid and shy. That being said, this is more or less a dating and social site, so if your intentions are to find a relationship, it's only going to benefit you more in having a pic on your profile. Having anime pics is fine and dandy. I have quite a few on mine, but you should have at least one or two real-life pics somewhere in your pic galleries.

well as i see this website more as a anime friends facebook page rather than a dating website, i dont think it really matters.
