Cosplay help and tip making my first cosplay by hand and need tips on fiberglass and paint

So im making my first cosplay it going be a custom Halo Spartan armor but I need tips on paints, fiberglass, what use how to transport it and how storage it

I'm going to warn you, armor is not a good choice for a first cosplay because of the complexity and time it takes to make. but if youre steadfast on the idea, i highly suggest finding online tutorials for it because it is quite tricky to do. some people actually make armor out of craft foam and seal it so it is lightweight and sturdy. I've never made a costume, but I'm guessing the number one rule is the same for model-making/converting: Be patient. Take your time with everything, and let yourself screw up. The first time I made a warhammer model, and painted it, it looked like a bizaar purple-red splotchy mess with nicks everywhere. I still have that model, as is, for the good memories. Spartan armor is going to be a pain, because it's encapsulating armor, but if you have the helm done then I think you're on a roll, as that seems to be the most difficult part to me.
