Why isnt anime offensive?

um girls DONT act like that o.O lesbians don't flash and lust and act stutty to the girls they like... (kuroko shiro) I may love it but doesn't mean I cant see the faults, it does make me mad sometimes.....girls don't lust after guys like that....well the ones that do girls hate...and the fact no anime girl is fat (least not the main chars) does give off a sad aura that that's what guys want just the fact like guys enjoy k-on offends me...maybe less offends and mkore creeps out? not ser, just feels demeaning that guys want to watch girls jump around and be cute it just reinforces that guys look at girls for there bodys

also girls in lil outfits is not there culture....shrines and buddism and shit is there culture (im not too good on there culture but im damn ser any selfrespecting Japanese person wood decline that anime is there culture, normal Japanese ppl dislike anime too cuz it makes them look bad) and its not that I don't like them, I LOVE ecchi anime but bits do offend me, the main thing was ment to be y isn't it offensive like y don't ppl take it seriously...maybe its cuz men r the main target and they don't care if its offensive...idk

your basically correct Momo, Younger males are the target audience and they don't take offense to things like this as much. There are a few anime's where the norm was broken and the girls aren't 10's with hot bodies and they try to portray a more realistic version of the slice of life genre. Things like that are rarer nowadays in the economic strapped world we live in, when the money is free flowing we'll see more diversity in anime characters and scenes/plots. These times are harder so they stick to what sells, crack... err boobs. Sadly. But taken with a grain of salt most anything can be digested. Is it offensive and sexist ... probably. I'm no saint either I happen to like QB & QB:R, as a secret, eh well we know why. But a genre change can sometimes help, we argued this a lot over at Fakku.net over anime getting shittier. So it's give and take basically until more anime studios are in better economic positions to get a bit outside of the young male projected audience types. If you don't want to bother watching certain anime's b/c of the harems following some douchebag guy, there's plenty of anime that's... Less offensive... Tari Tari, Joshriraku, Busou Shinki, Uchuu Kyoudai, Zetsuen no Tempest are some that came out just this past year that aren't boob filled plot devices like accidental trips and falls on each other.

Well one of real reasons is anime audience for most part is preteen boys sowhat better way to get views and sales then to pander to the crowd. While I don't agree with all of it myself I can still enjoy most of it. Although i would like to see more realistic body times in anime. I dunno what school these folks in but I am guessing next line in education is porn 101cause I have never been to a school where every girl was a DD or bigger. Imean com'on.

Unfortunately, sexism is pretty rampant in the nerd/geek/otaku community. I don't think anyone can really argue that. I don't really have a solution to that problem, but at least there's a lot more options for anime fans who don't dig that kind of vibe. If you're a female gamer, not so much :/

I think it's the type of genre your watching. I mean if your watching a harem of course the girls are going to act like there obsessed with the guy. Thats just the type of genre it is. In most anime not associated with harem..the girls act pretty decent. Like bleach for example.

Anime is pretty sexist or offensive though. Im sure even though its silly girls who watch anime may feel inferior to anime girls because of the way there made (well there bodies) *cough*. i for one dont feel inferior to many anime guys considering most are just average or un average guys as the main characters. So i think in that difference its kinda offensive lol.
