What's the reason you're single?

Hmm I have no idea what happened to the post but - I was in a relationship for 3 + years (maybe my phone didn't post it) - oh well.

Well, the reason I'm single is that I'm too busy. Hahahaha but I work a lot and I'm trying to do graduate school too so it's not really all that conducive for a relationship unless the other is super incredibly understanding about how I'm probably not gonna see him for months on end. Which if he is, he's probably not really looking for a good relationship to begin with. :\ Also you know, you hit like age 25 and you start having to think long terms. When things like job and future things kinda become a bit more important. Maybe that's the asian in me though. :P

Don't think it's necessarily the asian in you xueli, unless I'm asian and don't know about it. Wait, I'm part Romanichal, which is Indian in origin... hmmm..... Anyway, I would agree that when you hit a certain age you start to think about the long-term and what you need in your life. I would suggest that this is because of stability. In your late twenties, your life starts to become stable, you've made your choices (hopefully) and given yourself a relative direction to go in. Keeping that stability becomes important, and having a random fling or a disastrous relationship can disrupt all of that work. Or I could just be thinking too hard. I do that.

Dating around and flings have never been my thing. Unless I completely fall for the girl and know it's going to be a lasting relationship I won't go for it at all.

Fair enough Highbrid, but with that in mind, do you feel you've reached a certain age, or gained a certain amount of experience, in which you know what you need to have a stable, lasting relationship? Can you think of a point where you stepped back and said to yourself "Yeah, I think I get this now"? Err, this may not make sense. My head's a little fuzzy right now.

I have no idea maybe I'm just dense but i won't understand unless you tell me directly also i'm shy and i kind of have low self esteem...also i have this thing for asians lol
