to the females here i have a serious question

That's Sobi for you keeping it real. Nice to see you. Hey happy holidays.

For me it is not matter of them being "weaker" which is a load of crap considering i know girls who can mess someone up. It was just the way i was raised, that you treat women with respect and don't raise you hand against them. I tend to try and avoid it getting to the point of violence in a situation, but i am ready if something were to happen. "have a kind mouth, but a strong arm if things go south" that is my philosophy

That's how I was raised too phoenix, but it's kind of a demonstration of my point as well. I was taught not to raise a hand against women. I was also taught not to raise my hand against anyone unless they tried to hurt me or mine. So, why the double lesson? That's a demonstration of thinking women are weaker. It's never meant that way, but it's so deeply ingrained that it inevitably happens. Sobi, I have an older sister, and I learned from a young age not to piss her off lol. A few years ago, she was working at a pet food supply store. She had a friend at a restaurant next door, and she was hanging out with him one night just after closing. He was taking out trash, and she was playing with handcuffs (err, don't ask. A cop was involved). He went inside to get more trash, and a guy comes out of the alley, asking her for change. When she says she doesn't have any, he pulls a knife, says "betcha do now, bitch", and lunges at her. She slaps the knife hand, hears a click from the cuffs, yanks him forward, and snaps the other cuff onto the dumpster. When the cops arrived, the dumbass was still holding the knife, cussing her out. When they were taking him away, the cops asked her if she'd like to say anything to him. She turns, grins, reaches into her pocket, and holds up some money. "Hey look, I DID have change, bitch". I love my sister. lol

Sounds like you got an awesome sister!

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with a guy crying, but it really depends on the circumstances. If a close friend or family member dies? Completely understandable. If you get dumped or stub your toe? Not so much imo.

I don't mind it if a guy cries, as we all can't be strong 24/7. Now, if I know the guy well enough to know if he has depression or not (some guys have different symptoms than others), I'll just be there for him, as I understand what it's like to have it and PTSD (which, in my case, most likely caused my depression, at least partially). If I don't know him that well, I'd be concerned, but i wouldn't know what to do (you can't really get a good explanation of emotions out between sobs).

guys have feelings too. id comfort them like i would anyone else who came crying to me.

Men are indeed homosapians as well. It may be rare for me to see a male crying but It wouldn't start making fun of them. I would respect thier feelings and if we were friends then I would try to comfort him in any way I can. :3

I have had this debate many times in the past with one of my friends Rob... it is not sexist. Maybe depending on your reason someone couldn't say it is, but for me it is out of respect to women that i don't hit then. In my life i have been around more great women than i can take time to count.
