I hated the title of the thread so I made another one. I'm developing a gacha game called ReelBound Resonance. From my design doc: Reelbound Resonance is an (currently) FTP gacha game where you are chosen by a mysterious artifact to become a Resonant. As a resonant, you summon extra-dimensional waifus called Reelbound to battle rogue Codex users through dynamic 3x5 slot reels, where each character’s personality and element directly shape gameplay. Guide your waifus, master the reels, and uncover a world that’s playful on the surface but corrupted beneath, where every spin can be life or death.

https://i.ibb.co/LDQxk1CF/UI-1.jpg It took me all day but I finally got my first SSR Reel Maiden that will appear in the story, Helia Starr. I started with a crappily drawn doodle on my tablet with the kind of hair style I was going for, then passed to to the AI over and over again until it got it right. I used about 6 different AI art agents going back and fourth to get the design down. I also got one facial expression swap for her idle pose so she is ready to animate for the reel battles.

https://i.ibb.co/RTfxWQXt/back-view.jpg Today I created two new characters. An antagonist Arbiter character named Valenne and her maiden Reel Maiden Justicar Serapha. Agent Valenne was sent to ensure rogue codex users are put down so she attacks the player character at the start of the game. It's through the help of your own reel maiden, Helia Starr (pictured above) that you are able to excape after getting your ass completely kicked in the prologue boss battle. I also went ahead and shelled out some money to Suno AI so I can isolate a vocal track I wrote with the instramental track. There will be dynamic music in this game where you'll hear the instrumentals, but as soon as shit goes down the vocals start playing. Took me 4 hours to write the song but I'm really happy with how it came out. Also got some particle effects working in the game!

So many sleepless nights but I finally got my reel battles working and complete! I'm not even going to do any gameplay recordings yet because I'm in crunch time. have to present to my work on monday. In the meantime I made some character concepts for some of the common maidens:

I finally got my last two common maidens to round out all the element types in the game. Took me way too long to do this but it's done. I can finally start moving over into the gacha pull system and maybe make some promotional animation videos on the side.
