Wait but how do they pray to God in your stead? Also what makes them any more closer to god than you? Were they not the same? They simply died for their faith which im sure any real christian would do when the opportunity presented itself.

My thing is christians to this day still die for their faith. People who have lived their lives to the last moment worshiping God. But that wouldnt make them holier or closer as anyone can have a relationship with Jesus if they sought him out. There seems to be this sort of heirachy in a world where all men were created equal. Not holier than some or all. Jesus put thieves and tax collectors on the same level. This has been my main gripe about catholicism. The fact there seems to be a middle man between you and God. Such as confessing sins to a preist. You ask God for forgiveness not a human.

I also dont understand why there are so many branches of Christianity. Not many religions seem to be the same way. Sure you have oppostite spectrum extremes but Christianity has like dozens of different sects. Why is this? Is it because when nations used to take control they would alow you to have multiple religions as long as theirs was first?

I do wonder, is that the system Jesus set up or his followers AFTER him? How's the interpretation on that?
