Comedians make of people without consent. Should we ban all comedians then?

your being hyperbolic. no one said anything about banning. wer talking morality i think its safe to say that when you go to a comedians live shows, especially if you know the comedian, then there is a fair assumption you could be used in his stand up. iv seen stand up where they pick out members of the audience, and its usually really light hearted. if the comedian goes all out on making fun of someone and the comedian isn't known for this (lets say that hes never done this kind of thing before and his comedy has always been light hearted) then yes id say that's immoral. consent is what matters to me most of all, and if it is known that the comedian does this then there is an assumption you could be targetted, so you have consented to this. if the comedian has never done that and there is 0 expectation, its immoral depending on the severity of the jokes at that persons expense

id been watching a lot of nathan for you, and while his comedy tends to use himself at the butt of the joke (which is the best kind of comedy imo) he also makes other people the butt of the joke a lot of the time i think severity has a lot to do with whether its moral or not. there's also whether the jokes are based on something like their looks, or their behavior. if its something they can easily change, its not as bad

Comedians target Blacks, Gays, Mexicans and every other group under the sun. Comedians certainly do it without their consent. Are they just immoral pigs because they didn't ask for consent? Everyone is equal. I agree that trans are just as equal as any other human being. You want equality for trans, but with stipulations. Trans are equal, but you can't make fun of them. No, everyone is equal. If you want to be treated equally. Then I will treat you equally. You will be made fun of just like everyone else. You will be fucked with. Just like everyone else. Oh but, but, but there going through a struggle. Did comedy not exist during slavery? Did Blacks and Jews not laugh when they were slaves? Did people not laugh during the darkest of times? BTW jokes are not immoral. That is just your feelings. Not an actual factual statement about morality. Hurting someone's feelings with words is not immoral.

Killing someone is immoral. Stealing is immoral. Actions that cause physical harm is immoral. Saying "Mexicans are wetback beaners" is not immoral. As that did not bring actual physical harm to anyone.

oohh that kind comedy you seem really feelings loaded on this topic, your being really hyperbolic with your speech from a moral standpoint, those are immoral. only case that these kinds of jokes are moral are certain south park episodes because the bigots are played as idiots or psychopaths (look how bigotted cartman is and look how the show portrays him). most modern comedy shows use this method as a way to both get a laugh from the audience as well as stay morally correct racism, sexism and the like are funny. dark humor is funny. but in my moral frame work, i hold the well being of sentient creatures as the highest priority. like i said, you can do dark humor and still be moral. i agree that comedy can be a coping mechanism, but that implies that the people who suffered are the ones telling these jokes. the majority of offensive comedy is not for the sake of taking power away from an issue, but instead to belittle others and their struggles. these jokes can also normalize these ideas, and introduce 'shrodingers asshole' "If you didnt laugh, it was just a joke" comedy and humor is an extremely powerful thing, it can help as much as it can harm everyone is equal from an abstract standpoint, but societally they are not. no one is equal in a societal view, and that's normal. a scientist will always have more worth according to society then a homeless man, which is logical. however, some bigoty is illogical, like bigotry toward people who are 'different' be it furrys, goths, minorities, or trans people. the fear of 'the other' is still ingrained into us. i was bullied very badly my entire school life, as well as at home by my siblings, so i hold this topic at a very high regard. i never want anyone to feel the way i had to because assholes wanted to use me as a punch line. pain will always outway pleasure in my moral framework

People be talking about morality and immorality as if its objective but the reality of things is that unless you believe in a deity that is objectively correct and then tells you what is moral and what isn't then it's an objective fact that morality is subjective so there's no such thing as something being inherently moral or immoral.
