has anyone debated which anime is better? Like... Sword art online is better than one piece xD

how can you say sao is better then one piece?? every season of sao has been the exact same plot with the exact same character,where as one piece has so many different character designs and plot lines now iv never finished sao or one piece, and I have no idea why they haven't gotten to the grand line, like 600 chapters in the map did not seem that long but either way, sao is a cookie cutter isekai that ripped off too much from hack/root and left out what made hack/root good where as one piece actually builds a really, really unique world with a barely used genre of pirates

also im up to debate veganism on the standpoint from ethics just name the trait that animals lack that allows us to forgo their moral consideration

i rationalize my meat/animal product consumption by the following: i feel like for the most part vegetation is life. it lives. it may not experience sapience or sentience or anything resembling animal consciousness but [plants] are still alive and their life force must be extinguished/utilized to sustain our own (by consumption). in that weird ethical perspective it seems strange/fetish-y to give so much merit to animal life over plant life. that being said i feel like the right conversationalist vegan could sway me to go to the darkside. I really only eat animal flesh because it's convenient/protein-packed and also pretty tasty. chicken/fish preferably. i tend to believe they deserve death for consumption over our bovine and porcine friends for whatever arbitrary feelings i hold let me know what's good tho! always down for healthy philosophical exchanges

awesome! yeah ethics is one of my fave things to contimplate and debate ^v^ So I guess I would ask if your appealing to futility? That because plants are living creatures yet we kill them too we might as well kill animals as well? Because that would be a fallacy. While plants are indeed alive to compare their life experience to animals would be scientifically non analogous. Plants have no nervous system and I would argue they are not sentient, as they do not have a subjective life experience. If you contest that then I would ask you this; would you rather drop a dog from a cliff, or a potted plant? Why or why not?
