Lamby, All good, sharing and discussing is what this is all about XD. Responsibility will do that to you for sure.

I don’t know if there’s a single event that makes you grow up. And if growing up is learning something new, can you ever be fully grown?

Parents: she is a disobedient and weird kid who has never actually grown up. Acquaintances around my age: she seems more mature and comtemplative than us. Parents' acquaintances: she is a weirdo who rarely greet us who doesn't want to stay in her hometown.Kid. Online friends: she is sometimes naive and emotional. Myself: Parenting has had great effects on me. I was taught by my parents that "you are no longer young" when I was 8...As a result, I partially learned "expressing emotions and personal needs" isn't something I <as a "mature" girl >should do when I was little. I'm actually not "mature" even now, I'm still under construction. Thanks to Internet and my awesome international contacts, I have been exposed to various information and lessons.. I know I'm more like an adult than many people who are older than me... I will not be an adult in our traditional society which is guided by Neo-Confucianism because I refuse to take some women's "responsibilities".

@leo With love comes betrayal, hatred, despair.. With anger comes hurt, destruction, death.. With joy comes bait, foolishness, bias.. With sorrow comes... Sorrow ;_; And not to mention many other negative emotions u didnt talk about.. panic, anxiety, depression, hatred, confusion, tension! You only talked about the +ves of emotions, by calling them useless i meant that i find the negatives overweighing the positives! I dont find the +ves of emotions worth its -ves :p And dopamine is not an emotion, its a chemical which enhances brain's state to positive emotions and makes us high(speceficLly in the centres related to emotions as dopamine has other functions too).. so basically its a shortcut to eliminating the negative parts of emotion and only experience the +ves so ofcourse it is one hell of a drug and i love DOPAMINE RUSH more than anything! That said there are certain emotions which i definitely find worth exploring like the emotion to inspire and get inspired! I mean.. if i didnt have that emotion then i dont think i could be anywhere near what i am now.

Gurren, Growing up isn't about knowing everything, that has nothing at all to do with being an adult. But I would say certain aspects of adulthood are often learned the hard way. Such as Responsibility, That life is hard, Not everything is black and white, Just the loss of innocence and child like naivety so to speak. Enki, That's understandable, Everyone has a different view of what adult Truly "Is" though many of us hold some things in similar value on it being a mature trait. I know little of Confucianism, but living life as you see fit is important. And I'm sure having a child is VERY maturing. Having the responsibility over another human being will do that to you.

Laughing, Humanity wouldn't be the same without emotions, Morality would not exist, at least in the way we see it. (Most likely just the needs of the many, ect.) Pure logic can be just as damaging as emotion, So I'd argue emotion's positives outweigh the negatives. You don't need emotions for death, destruction, foolishness, or betrayal(Hell many of those things would likely be more common due to our emotions keeping us from Feeling empathy, and therefore not committing acts we would see as wrong.). Yes, but Joy and such will give you dopamine was my point.
