a persons environment absolutely has to do with who you are today, so ill have to defer to the popular opinion on that one >w>/! i think just because someone is a shitty person doesnt mean they dont have talent

Absolutely plays a PART. Nurture vs nature 'n what not. I mean, no shit if you're raised a certain way you'll pick up certain characteristics. Can't blame it all on your upbringing, at some point you are you.

you can in part blame it on your up bringing and where you start in life homes with one parent are statistically more likely to be criminals does that make these people weak? i hate that "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" bullshit it helps nothing but the ego of people who actually didnt have to face real adversity in their entire lives should you always take accountability for your actions? ofcourse, that builds character but that doesnt mean every disadvantage you had was due to lack of ability

I think the key words in the statement there is "control the way you live." Absolutely circumstances are circumstances and yes environment absolutely can have an impact on you. However ultimately it's how you yourself respond to said environment. That's the key I think- of course I'm talking in a general sense here. I read and take it as a positive but that could just be my philosophical outlook on such things..

but fox, the majority of what our life might be is mapped as children, and children have 0 foresight 2-4 are formative years, when we begin to learn and absorb things around us and build who we are teens are stupid, and by the time someone is in their 20s, there so use to the pattern of bad habits/behavior is there norm a bad environment fosters bad behavior most humans are just stupid, so i find it hard to hold them accountable for some of the things they do because of this and it urks me to no end when (not saying you guys or any of these) people who were brought up in good homes and given multiple chances want to act like they actually overcame something and look down on others because of that disgusts me

Oh yeah no I totally get that- Maybe I'm just a special case idk- I've been through alot of genuine shit that most people in their lives never come close to (Thankfully so as well I'd never wish poor circumstances on anyone) so I view it as more of an outlook/approach to life. I agree with you that most people haven't been through what most would term genuine adversity and that bothers me as well when they act like they have as you stated. Allow me to elaborate: What annoys me the most is when i see these people who live a cushy life go through the smallest insignificant thing and act like it's the end of the world. Instead of taking a proactive approach to solving their problems or even in shaping their life into what they want it to be (within reason). Like i said that's how i took the statement. There are also plenty of adult people who come from fantastic environments and make the worst possible choices and have incredulously bad behaviour. When you talk to these people they have no accountability for their actions or will usually try to find "something" to blame and alot use their environment/upbringing as the excuse. Versus stepping up and taking responsibility and realising that they have control over their own behaviours because unless you have a genuine mental health issue or something affecting your ability to make a decision the key there is it starts with you at least when you are an adult. I'd never expect a teen or a child to be able to necessarily do the same.. Anyone that knows me knows that I feel that most people are idiots too. Doesn't change the fact that I firmly believe in a proactive/positive approach to life (most especially if you're in the shit). Because ultimately that's the only way to improve things for yourself as best you can.
