Is this site dying?

I mean I know I started using it in 2015 and realized this is now going on 10 years for me. I am considering maybe even subscribing next month for my 10th year anniversary of being here, but a lot of things seem like they're dying down on this site and there isn't even an app yet after 15 years of the site running? I mean I don't mind, just I'm thinking seriously here. I know I have never successfully found a partner here, but still there's some interesting people with me coming back several times over the years. It has been fun. Plus at the moment I am single yet once again and even after all of these years. So I don't know, maybe I should still give this site a shot, even if I could just make a new friend, but yeah I'm just really curious as to where this site is actually going.

I'm having a bad case of deja vu. Like for real! It's trippy because I'm looking at our current thread lineup and I almost feel like we've already gone down this road before. In any matter. I noticed some of the fan favorites of yesteryears MO haven't been on in quite some time. Hard to say what they're doing with their lives, however hopefully they're well. People I know from years back are still using the site and as far as I'm concerned I still see enough folks interacting on the forums to make it worth my time to hang out. Perhaps yours is a different experience? Either way, Death Note is cool, like your profile pic. Have you watched Death Parade by the way?

@gabriel_true Just there seems like less people and it seemed like there were a ton when I first joined and just everyone was so much more talkative and really just reached out, but yes I really love Death Note. I have watched Death Parade as well and even Hellsing. Nice cosplay!

@verucassault I was here a little bit around Covid as well. I mean I would still take a peak every once in a while, but just wouldn't spend much time when I'm taken. So you're right, it did seem slower more around then, because definitely before 2020 this site was much more active.

90% of my time here I've been taken lol I dunno. I just like message boards but typically hate other types of social media.

I've been here for almost 2 years I think and it's always been the same in that period. Tons of bots and some users who post regularly, others daily. Either its a meme or a song they're listening to. I find myself coming here everyday just to look at what people are posting. I'm not a social person so it doesn't bother me the lack of direct interaction or the dating aspect of the site so for me the site is fine as it is. What's really annoying is deleting daily friend requests from bots. They won't take me alive!

@jacoblow What? That sucks! Well I've always mainly just used this site for friendship anyway, but I had thought about looking for something more, ugh....I didn't know people even stopped dating here.

@verucassault Me too, but now I just end up single out of no where and it just sucks. So even though I originally just joined for friendship and talking about Anime, now I was thinking maybe I could use it for more. I am not sure if that's even going to be a good idea now.
