Ask a female anime fan..

misskittehcat
I feel like a lot of otaku (and the rest of the world) have a lot of relevant questions they wish they could ask the opposite sex. So i thought it was right to open a forum to discuss just that. the floor is open to anyone! if you have questions more personal in nature feel free to pm me :) i am only one female but i've been in the anime community for nearly 9 years now and have been cosplaying and attending conventions for 7 and i've pretty much been approached about every crazy question known to man, so don't be shy!

Dopeness i got one! Why is it so hard to find an anime girl to take the lead when starting a relationship? Are they more inclined to want to be pursued like regular women want to? I was wanting to know this and/or if all the harem anime titles out there have been lying to me all this time.

When it comes to men do you want a man who is going to be the only source of income or are you more inclined to be wanting the both of you to work And, if you had to choose, would you pick dogs or cats? These are pretty standard Q's I ask to lots of women, its my way of figuring out who likes what.

I have a good one i think. By the way thank you in advance for taking the time to answer questions. If a guy spends countless hours talking to girl about her problems and she tells you she isn't ready for a relationship and yet she spends all her time with you. What does it mean? Is that really just what people call friend zone? Your thoughts. I am actually going to see her in December to meet her face to face. She also wants me to go to a convention next year.

@Rezikai i know exactly what you mean. i personally enjoy having a man/woman pursue me because it's a big confidence boost. It's just important to make sure that the person is into you. which can be difficult to tell. but my best advice is be friendly at first but dont cross the creepy line. if a girl is into you she'll let you know. I can give you some examples if you'd like! @cantthinkofabettername i do live on the east coast as a matter of fact. i attend ctcon and anime boston regularly :) (but i also spam my pictures on the interwebs haha) @Masuji I prefer to have both parties work and support themselves. I've been in relationships both ways. when he's the only one working i feel guilty asking for him to pay and when i'm the only person working i find it irritating to support someone else. I'm a TOTAL cat girl. i grew up with them and i find 90% of dogs scary. haha @endlessnight hmmm.. a very good question indeed. Girls as a whole are more apt to share their problems with people they trust which is a good first step. In my experience relationships mean different things to different people. to me a relationship should have an amount of openness and experimentation. to some there's no gray area. i'd make a point to ask her what she believes a relationship to be just so you're 100% clear as to what she expects. I don't really think the term friend zone is accurate. sometimes relationships grow over time and take time to develop especially if you haven't met face to face yet. she may be hesitant for this reason as well. Before getting too wound up and upset feel her out first see if you gel. sometimes you can just feel an instant attraction to someone when you meet! don't give up hope just yet though @Robscene I have no idea, i'll try it out and get back to you :p

Thank you misskittencat I will try to ask her about that. It may be difficult to get a straight answer on that. She has been trying to make up her mind about many things and is going through some life changes. That's pretty much the state I found her in. I will be meeting her this December so I should be able to get a better feel for her and what intentions are truly there. Once again thank you. This gives me some assurance. I was at Anime Boston last year for the first time. I'm from Virginia but I really wanted to check it out. It was awesome. I wouldn't mind visiting again if is in the budget if you know what I mean. ^_^

@endlessknight i'm glad you still have hope! i hope everything goes ok for you! @cantthinkofabettername you're entitled to your opinion. Anime conventions are one of the few places i'm actually noticed and told im attractive so i try to look my best. I cosplay characters i love 9/10 :p but i digress.. to some women virginity does matter, i generally prefer more experienced partners because it just tends to go smoother. but everyone's different. but generally enthusiasm is more important than being a well skilled. just whatever you do don't expect sex to work like porn, i actually have a lot of sex and can say that isn't reality at all. but if you could send me a message in private and get more detailed then i might be able to give a more exact answer :p
