wat to do on a anime convention

marshy
what advice do u give a rookie who is going for the first time to a anime convention????

If it is across multiple days, don't expect to sleep. If you are going as a popular character, expect to be glomped. Bring a lot of money, you will need it. Always ask before you take someone's photo.

If you're going for the full weekend: - Go with at least one or two other friends so you have some people around you who know you. It's great to interact and meet with new people, but it's good to have that familiarity with friends as well and they can help split costs of hotel rooms, gas, etc. - SHOWER AND/OR BATHE. There's a lot crammed into a 3 day weekend and you can get pretty hot and sweaty and hence smelly. Nothing is a bigger turn off in meeting new people if you have really bad BO. - Try to get some sleep. Even if it's just four or five hours a night. You'll want to have fun, but not completely burn yourself out too much.

Then a con is a place to meet friends who are into anime. Find some people from your area and get some phone numbers while you're there.

good idea ^^^

Yeah, I made a few friends last time I went to otakon. I was so funny, I even earned a free jawbreaker. Just start talking to people while you wait in line. They are just as nice as we are here, usually. Oh, and the biggest con tip i can give you, wear comfortable shoes. The lines can get pretty long. You'll be standing and walking every where.

i hope their nice ppl like me lol..i hope i can at least make a friend in line i dont wanna be all alone in convention that would really suck...

Yeah I have to agree with the advice from everyone atm. Maybe bringing in your own food would be good to cut cost if you want since food can be a bit pricey in the cons.
