Looking for a MO Boyfriend/Girlfriend

So when I was in college, we had a social network that was solely for the use of the students, chat, message boards, etc. This guy that was really active on the boards kept it from people he knew IRL. I don't know why, lol it's not like we all didn't go to the same university. Anyway, he got engaged and when he told his fiancée about his "double life", she made him quit getting on them. Can't see that happening today. Why hide it? I talk to more strangers online than people I know. When communities and families moved into Facebook, that's why people went to MySpace and Twitter.
