Yes, there was a woman who was flirting with me that I took the bait for, whom I thought had separated from their partner, when I was confronted by the angry partner and so on I pushed the blame on her for leading me on, sorta, but in truth I was more to blame for taking the bait

She was separating from a long term relationship, like 14 years and was extremely needy of attention and support, wanted to feel pretty and desirable, so she used me to feel validated and like an idiot I took the bait and made a huge drama for nothing that still haunts me up to this day

@swadian I mean idk the full context but wormy is right. If you genuinely felt like she left and was being honest about that I don’t think that’s something you should continue to worry about since you had what sounds like good intentions and just wanted to be in a relationship and make someone feel good and as he said above got caught up in her mess cause she wasn’t fully honest

The thing is, both of them were my friends and I should had respected them throughout the whole thing, I didn't even liked the woman physically or emotionally, she wasn't my type nor she was emotionally interesting to me, I only did it because I saw an opportunity after I was lured in, I thought she was interested on exploring new things and I should had shut her down, told her off and told the guy about it, instead I tried to score and ended up messing up extremely bad for what I did, the guy threatened with beating me up if he saw me on the streets, funny thing is, the reaso for them separating was that he cheated on her

On her end, I'm fully sure she did it exclusively to validate herself, to prove herself she still had something worth being desired by someone, that even if she had to get into the dating scene again she would be alright, so on her end it was all about feeling good and confident once more after being cheated on with someone prettier, more mature, taller and more intelligent

@swadian well... swan babe I do agree it wasn’t such a smart thing to put yourself with someone you didn’t like in an actual romantic way and you being with her when you didn’t like her. You at least are sorry about what you did about not being honest with her but truly in the end everyone could’ve been a bit more honest and doesn’t change the fact that they dragged you into their relationship mess because both of them were dishonest with each other and while I feel sorry for the woman that got cheated on it wasn’t right for her to choose the first person (possibly) she thought of to make herself feel validated and drags them into her drama, especially someone that’s supposed to be her friend

@swadian well you know swan babe there are things in life everyone could’ve, should’ve and would’ve done differently if they could but the thing is they and you didn’t think of that in that moment of time either and it’s okay to make mistakes some seemingly bigger then others and in the end if you learn from them and don’t do them again is what truly matters even if you don’t realize it and you did that. BUT I want you to re-read this as many times helps you understand that ALL of what happened isn’t ALL your fault are there things you could’ve said or done differently, I’m sure there was BUT on the same note THEY could’ve done things differently too and HE should’ve known better than to cheat and SHE should’ve known better then to lie to a FRIEND about leaving her relationship and using you to feel good about herself which as wormy said said it is in no way wrong for her to want to feel loved but the way she went about it was wrong. You aren’t the bad one here truly, you sound more mature then the both of them swan baby
