@squirrelatemycookie Nice. Did you do these with a camera?

I cheated and took a picture of a background instead of painting one. Looking at the preview before posting this, I might have compressed it too much.

More Aubrey. It's been a month since I picked up drawing and practice a little bit each day. Really fun ride!

Sorry. I had more to post, but it wouldn't load in my gallery where no one would notice. But it's loading here? Wtf? Anyway............... Don't judge me! It's my birthday today and I got the first gift I've ever received for this day. I still don't know how to handle it, but I appreciated it.... like it made me cry.... I didn't know people could be this nice for such an ordinary day. So I came home and drew my comfort pairing again. Sorry I should filter it. It's a little spicy.

Today I practiced shoulder construction and some anatomy

Overall great anatomy! Though I'd point out that the muscles around the radius and ulna would partially obscure the right bicep of the body builder. I know it's more of a perspective thing...I just didn't feel right not bringing it to your attention.

Here's the reference, if you are wondering. Good catch! Think I drew it a bit too close and should have moved the lower arm a bit further out.

You weren't wrong. I had forgotten how to explain what I wanted to explain earlier (but somehow remembered the names of the bones in the forearm lol). So I was trying to explain about the limitations of the medium (in this case lines) and how that affects how we portray depth and detail. The reference has the luxury of lighting, and texture and color, where as your practice is using only lines. Because we have no color or shading and adding more lines gives the impression of age or wrinkles we have to be more precise with the lines we do use. And even then some angles are just beyond lines alone. By bringing the line of the bicep further beyond the forearm, it gives the impression that the forearm is behind the bicep. By instead bringing the line for the forearm lower it gives the proper impression of depth. I'm sorry if this is what you were trying to explain when you said you drew it a bit too close. I wasn't sure. It took me a lot longer than 4 months to understand the limitations of mediums so I wasn't certain if you had yet.

I drew Yoko. I love shading, but my drawing skills are really lackluster.
