Trying to solve the mystery of why there are so few women looking for dates

mirai_k
@thesailingteacup Ah I see, that makes sense. It seems like what you're seeking isn't really a dom; you just want a real man with perhaps an above average level of assertiveness. I guess I should've been a bit more clear in what I meant too because when I said corrupt, I just meant take a good guy and tell him about whatever naughty dom things you may be seeking in the bedroom, not turning a momma's boy into the guy from 50 shades. (jk, I can see that's not quite what you're looking for) Having both partners in a relationship being equal is a good thing, I agree with you on that. And wow, has the male species gone so far downhill that you actually have to ask for a guy who can cook for themselves and do their own laundry? I'm not gonna be on Iron Chef anytime soon, but I can make my own food and have been for years. As for laundry, I not only do that but I fix the washer/dryer when they break down too as long as it's worth doing. I've replaced water valves, thermostat, dryer belt, heating element and the power cord on them in the past. I gotta give ya credit for being upfront about stuff. Playing guessing games about what the heck a girl wants, if it happens a lot, is just, ugh, after awhile. It's like, if there's something ya want, prefer or aren't happy about then just say so/ask because I'm no esper.

@kameiya Wow, I'm surprised the dude wanted to stay at mom and dad's like that. I get that these days with prices being as inflated as they are it can be tough to start out and it takes some time to save money for moving out or living at home while going to college or such, but that said, I couldn't wait to move away from my mom and step-dad once I was to do so. It wasn't that I didn't like them or such, but I just wanted to be on my own and have some privacy and such ya know, for when I did meet a girl and plus it was nice to get a break from mom's occasion crazy conspiracy theories (which is a whole different topic!) Have you ever been woken up at 9am (after working a midnight shift at a restaurant) during spring when the ground is still frozen and told to bury an onion in the backyard 12 inches deep? I have. So anyways.... yeah moving out is something I would think most people would want as soon as reasonably possible.

Dating sites in general feel overly superficial to me. Thats why i dont take them seriously. Also ive been in the situation of being forced to "give someone a change". It sucks. I hate forcing things. I want things to be organic.

@thesailingteacup It's nice of you to care about the feelings of others as you do, I give you credit for wanting to be good to people like that, but if it helps, the truth of the matter is in the end, you're doing them a favor by NOT dating them out of sympathy if you really don't want to date. Because that guy is going to spend time and money plus get his hopes up by taking you on a date that is destined to go nowhere no matter what he does. It's best just to let him down easy in some way that won't hurt his feelings or make him feel bad about himself. Fun fact: we act all tough on the surface and whatnot but secretly we have feelings too, it's just that since we're expected to be overflowing with confidence many of us don't really show it. And you shouldn't feel guilty about it. We all have things we're looking for in someone and there's nothing wrong with that at all. You should be with someone you're gonna be happy with and who is likewise happy with you because that's the only way a relationship will ever work out well. I'm glad your last relationship worked out for you and hopefully it's still working out and if it's not then I hope you find someone else you'll be happy with. And good luck to you too!

@reisenpai66 Yeah, dating sites are sort of necessary evil. You hate dealing with them, but for primarily indoor type people like me who live in a state full of women who are heavily into sports and outdoor stuff, it's pretty much a necessity to meet a woman. But I like it here because everyone is an anime fan which is sweet! Granted, the population density is lower than other dating sites, but I'm ok with that cos I would moved for the right person. Curious, how did you get forced to give someone a chance? Were you kidnapped by hillbillies and given a shotgun wedding? And Ruka... great waifu choice!!! When I hear people talk about... that other girl... I'm like, Chizuwho? Cos Ruka is best girl in Rent-A-Girlfriend! =D

I mean in my line of work, yea probably not gonna find anyone at work. It may be a necessary evil, but one thing i really take to heart is OPSEC. I very much hate social media and dont like my picture online. Even here, i chose all my words carefully as not to give any unnecessary info. Also I knew someone in Japan and used them to practice my jap but they pretty much begged me to give them a chance. I refused profusely but in the end used word trickery to make them shut up while also not commiting to anything.. That wasnt enough and they wanted more.. give them an inch and they take the mile. I dont talk to them anymore.. they were toxic for my health, and while i was desperate to polish my jap skills, i had to draw a line somewhere.

@thesailingteacup I mean i dont have a problem showing my picture as long as its in private. i.e discord dm's or something uwu.. lmao I do try to conversate with people i know are close enough to me and if we hit it off sure ill share some info.. if we dont like what we see, we stay friends i guess.. problem i guess, specially here, is finding someone that aligns with my beliefs, is close-ish, and my type physically. Also kinda flattered you remember stuff about me lmao
