which is not even bringing up the fact that certain races/classes DO have different forms of ID, as some are just easier to have, such as passport vs birth certificate vs driver's license vs state ID. and i'll ask, why the fuck is the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT trying to have input in our STATE RUN elections. sounds like big gobment overreach to me

Not to try to discard or invalidate your view. I do see the truth in it. But that's not what conservative means to me. Conservatism is a philosophy and ideology that believes in the value of established and traditional practices in politics and society, marked by moderation or caution. Conservative values are things like, less government, not more. Lower taxes, and less government over reach into their lives. Less government spending. Financial responsibility with our tax dollars. Protecting traditional family values. Protecting the founding principles of the country. They also believe in helping those in need. But also want those who can be self reliant, to be self reliant, and be contributing members of society, instead of a burden on it. The right isn't trying to get rid of outcast. They just don't think the 99% should cater to the needs of the 1%, while the 1% ignores the needs of the 99% using as a special protected status. 1 guy wants to call himself a girl and play in women's sports. So you disregard all the women in that sport that have to play against him and share that locker room with him, just for the wants of the 1 guy. Why do the women's needs get disregarded? If there's that big of a need, how about making a coed league, and leave the women's league alone. At least that would be fair. Or providing a separate changing area for those who don't feel they belong in the locker room of their actual gender. Why do women's rights and privacy need to be violated? America first doesn't mean white's first. It means we want our government to PRIORITIZE the needs of it's OWN people, because it's OUR TAX DOLLARS that WE THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY PAID IN. We have homeless people, that are citizens of our country, that need help and aren't getting it. But illegal immigrants from other countries, that are breaking our laws, get to cut the line and get aide ahead of them? The credit cards they were giving away at the border to illegal immigrants weren't being offered to our own homeless population. Maybe aside from some nut jobs that do unfortunately exist, I don't believe the right views other people as viruses. But maybe I'm misinterpreting you on that. Because the right does see the ideologies of the left as a cancer to be feared, that will eventually destroy the country. You're 100% correct about that. The problem for democrats and the reason the party is so incoherent is that the party was hijacked by socialist, communist, and marxist. None of those groups could get traction here on their own, so they joined together with the democratic party and took it over from the inside. Kind of how Islamist did with England. Now England is seriously talking about needing to ban dogs from areas because it offends the Islamist in their country. Dogs have always been a big part of English culture, and England is now losing it's culture because they allowed open boards and didn't restrict immigration. France is in the same boat. The once beautiful streets of Paris now look like something closer to slums. Italy also had it's economy crushed and was driven into poverty by those policies and unrestricted immigration. China came in, buying out companies, and had Chinese migrants come in to work in the factories so they could slap made in Italy on the label. Sound far fetched, but it's true. China was doing the same with our farm land. EVERY country that socialism and communism has taken root in has socially and economically declined. So yes, conservatives fear those ideologies. And yes they want to fight for the traditional values they know work. I always considered myself independent. I leaned both directions depending on the issue. But the middle line has disappeared from where it used to be because of all the extreme ideologies there are now days. The middle is where normalcy should be. Now it's conservative to even want normalcy.

This is what the right see's the left doing. And why the big push for voter ID. And also the big push back against illegal immigration. Open boarders and sanctuary cities and states draws in illegal immigrants to Democrat run cities and states. The census counts people who are there whether they are citizens of this country or not. And the House of Representatives gets seats according to the census. Having massive numbers of illegal immigrants in Democrat run cities and states, means they have more power and more votes in congress. And also with electoral votes during Presidential elections, which means they are using illegal immigration to gerrymander things in their favor. That's why Democrats are against ICE that are shutting down the border and deporting illegal immigrants. If illegal immigrants weren't counted in the census for political purpose. You would see a totally different narrative coming from them on ICE and immigration. That's also why democrats POLITICIANS push so hard for welfare programs "that don't check for fraud". If they can get people on welfare, and make them dependent on the Democrat party for their welfare checks, then they have to vote Democrat. Whether or not people are fraudulently on the programs doesn't matter. They just need them on the programs and voting for Democrats if they want the money. Add questionable voter integrity to that... That's NOT a healthy system of government. Let me be clear. I'm not talking about democrat voters. Most voters see these programs' purpose with the best of intentions in mind. Why shouldn't we as country help our fellow citizens in need. But politicians' need for power and the money they get from being in power, feeding their need to be in power, corrupts the intentions of their voters. And conservative politicians aren't exempt from that. They are lining their pockets the same way too. Back on topic... Right now the Supreme court is litigating birthright citizenship when neither parent is a legal citizen of the country. The reason this is a problem is because China, for one, has literally made it big business to send Chinese citizens to America to give birth and gain citizenship in American. Google "birth tourism". They then return to China and raise their children with Chinese values, and can even be members of the Chinese military and government, and still hold office in the US as an American citizen, and vote and influence US elections. Among other things, it's a huge national security risk. Most other nations have outlawed it. China especially doesn't allow what they're doing here in our country to happen in their own. Conservatives aren't trying to be isolationist. They are just trying to preserve the country. Preserve the vote. And not have it taken over from the outside.

States that have passed voter ID laws have had very little issue with them, and even better voter turnout. Here it's just a driver's license, or non-driver's license. Maybe the extra effort made them take it more seriously? You're right that elections are supposed to be state run. But you have to admit, the last few elections have been a joke. It's an 80/20 issues with 80% of the country being in favor of voter ID laws, because we're sick of the nonsense during and after every election. Dead people should be removed from the voter rolls every year before the elections. You'd think something simple like that would be obvious, but you wouldn't believe how huge of an issue that has become for some states. Requiring a photo ID across the country should go long way to fixing a lot of issues. But that doesn't stop states from running the actual election how they want. The proposed law did stipulate that the ID's would be free. That's an absolute must. Charging to register or for a voter ID would be total BS. There's no way something like that would ever pass. Personally, I'd like every ballot (mail-in or in-person) to have a perforated code at the top that you tear off with an anonymous and random ID# on it. Then after election day, you should be able to enter your code online and see that your vote was counted or not. Not as a voter ID... But for your own piece of mind that your vote was counted.

It's easy to say be self reliant when people just like you for years in the shadows been trying to keep us down. But, they pretend like that never happened the deception the confusion. I know how smart yall are. You can't hide it from me. They want us to be a productive member of society but pay us to talk about murder, guns, sex, and violence. They actively want us to stay down. Yall always wanted us to stay down and we had to fight to be seen as equals. And, yall took measures to ensure the generations get confused and lost. And, have the nerve to say why are they like this like your spear of influence don't promote it. I see yall foreal I understand your reach. Even if you don't understand it. I will survive you. They don't pay us blacks to talk about God or speak about the violence in our community foreal because that goes against the program. And, they will kill us. I know people just like you hate us because of the light we carry. I know your programs hasn't stopped for us to return to our roots. I know how powerful your influence is and how detrimental to young minds it is. They want us to pull ourselves up and not be affected by there influence that continues how just like yall. If I could I snatch em all back so we can return to God and our roots I would. All yall know how to do is exploit because your position of power. Yall don't want us to help you foreal. You may do but the program ain't changed. Them people yall exploited been waiting for you to speak life in them but I know you you act like no one can see it. Slavery lasted for 246 years were you depended on us and exploited us. But, we can't depend on you it's not like I'm even asking for much just run a campaign that informs people of all our flaws and speaks life into them and knowledge like you know how powerful your influence is. i see, its good to see exactly what this means to you, as politics these days gets very very skewed, and intuition pumping from what other conservatards/libtards spew can muddy waters. you say that the last few elections have been buggy, but they were investigated top to bottom BY TRUMPS OWN FBI and the elections were held DURING HIS TERM. the dead people voting, from what i heard was largely republicans. and who can blame them for trying to, in their minds, fix an already rigged system? i keep hearing mass voter fraud, yet why was the system rigged when trump was in power, and then fixed when biden was? could it seriously just not be that the people hated the economy under trump and still hated it under biden? isnt that how every single election in american history has gone? democrat, republican, democrat, republican? bush senior got one term, and same with carter, even though the latter was just mediocre and the former a saint. if anything seems fishy, thats when the feds would set up (i think it was dhs that investigated the last last election? i forgor) so why the new push for regulations?

for me, my axiom is some blend of normatism and happiness. no crazy matrix machines to maximize happiness, but people should be socially free so long as it doesn't harm other parties. i also disagree with transwomen in sports, as its unfair to a mass group of people vs being unfair to a minority. sometimes life just sucks, so make it suck for the least amount than the majority. mitigation i guess you could call it. equalization is extremely important in society, so long as others aren't being dragged down for it. things like affirmative actions are a balancing act that tends to trip, as we're trying to right the wrongs of the past, while (possibly) creating an unfair environment for others. id say the worst thing about affirmative action though was A. the marginalized person not knowing if they got in because of this and not pure merit, which would feel shitty, B. that actually, these added to college drop out rates because these kids were NOT ready to go straight into an ivy league school was 0 prep. so that system (possibly) fucked over white dudes, AND still fucked over black students. my point being, liberal politics isnt centered around the "nicest hugbox" thing on paper, affirmative action SOUNDS great, but ended up hurting everyone. that doesnt mean get rid of it, that means we need to rethink it, we need to get ~progressive~ kukuku

Lamby, you may be right and there wasn’t voter fraud, just voters unhappy with the status quo. But the APPEARANCE of mass voter fraud happened with the mail-in ballots during the Covid pandemic, when states changed their voting laws right before the election to allow massive mail-in ballots, and allowing ballots to be collected after the deadline in a way that did in fact alter the outcome of the election in the favor of one candidate. How can you even tell the difference between a mail-in ballot filled out my the actual right person, or by a ballot harvester? You can’t. And from a conspiracy theory perspective, a postal stamp isn’t hard to forge. And when some states keep collecting mail-in ballots for 21 days after the election. It just looks sketchy. But whether you can prove it or not, the way it all happened gave off the impression that it was happening, or could be happening. Trump won states election day, then days later lost the state to mail-in ballots coming in after the normal deadline. If it was you losing that election that you’d thought you won, how would you see it? Before the last election, states had a chance to address some of the issues that came up during the previous election. Some states did shore up their voting laws. Some made the pandemic changes permanent. Hillary claimed voter fraud when she lost. Trump claimed voter fraud when he lost. Kamala claimed voter fraud when she lost. Can’t we do better than this? It’s ridiculous.

Not a rant, just a bit of news my brother gave me. A 4-star General in the Army fired over 8,000 Army helicopter pilots in favor of a drone program that ended up getting shot down by congress. My brother being one of them. Said General just got fired himself. For my brother and his unit, it was a righteous and humorous karma moment.
