thats how almost all school shoots go isn't it, they steal there parents guns? that's actually why i didn't say "ease of access kids have to guns" because if you say that your implying adults shouldn't have guns either imo you don't fucking need an assault rifle, and I'm 100% for there banning, the only people that thinks Americans should own sub fucking machine guns is because they think they could fight off the us government, which is the stupidest, ego inflating concept iv ever had the displeasure of hearing how is it the schools fault they get shot up lol? its not always bullying that triggers these people, that's like blaming video games. when it comes to mental illness there are a lot of compounding factors, and they tend to change from person to person that being said, i don't think gun control is that big of an issue. i think dems over blow it tbh. again the bigger issue is the group that is causing all this gun violence, which are gangs. its systemic disparities that breed these gangs and that what we need to cull

my guess is that dems make a big issue out of gun control because they want to avoid the root issue of systemic disparities because that's a more nuanced issue and much harder to reform because it entails rebuilding many different foundations

@momoichi it is very hard to find sub machine guns. Alot of guns come in semi auto. They dont really sell fully automatics like that and even then you gotta get background checks and such. Most school shooting occur with handguns actually. You cant hide an AR-15 in your pants, even with a trench coat its very hard. The only way would be to break it down and then set up at school but even then like you are better off with a handgun. Which are actually harder to get than long guns. You need actual permits for handguns. Long guns are better for home defense, due to range and stopping power. Besides its much harder to do a mass shooting hip firing a goddamn long gun than it would be to walk around with a handgun. Most crimes are committed with hand guns anyway. A bill restricting our rights on weapons will only fuel more crimes. Remember the prohibition? Making thinsg much harder to get creates a market and therefore people can profit illegally

People can also have guns for sport, like not every gun owner is a doomsday prepper. I want a gun to shoot, cuz i like the smell of gun powder and the feel of hitting my target perfectly. Something i never experienced until i actually fired one in the range. People can collect guns like people collect cars. Besides all these dumb ass laws they are trying to pass is why finding a gun is extremely hard rn people are buying all the guns they can. Which tells you no one is gonna listen to any rules.

These weapons arent cheap either. Guns going for $3k and up are selling out and thats not even including ammo and attachments. It says alot about how people feel about these anti-gun people

@hell_hound7 why not let shooting ranges own these guns but no person can own them? that way people can have their fun shooting these large guns and they don't get into the hands of the mentally ill? i mean we ban the length of switch blades but people can collect automatic rifles xD

There are people with their own ranges in their backyard tho so even then it still makes no sense. Telling people they cant have what our literal founding fathers told us we are given as a god given right is literally unamerican. The mentally ill have nothing to do with it. Again you can easily make a bomb out of common household items. Bleach and ammonia make chlorine gas which is an asphyxiant so there are many ways to make weapons. Guns arent even your biggest threat you can react to an active shooter. A bomb goes off and if you get caught thats all there is to it.
